Yes, for sure it is a great choice but along with CCNA you should add N+ basics in your study, if you do so then CCNA becomes easy to understand. It will also help you as you want to make a project on networking, in CCNA you get basic knowledge of networking on Cisco devices but with N+ you can explore the depth of networking basics. I will not recommend to do a deep study of N+ but to understand network basics in details it'll be a good thing to do.
