Networking is a process where various interconnecting devices like routers, switches, computers, and end devices come together to form a network and communicate with other LANs, WANs.

These networks/computing devices exchange data with each other using connections (data links) between nodes. These communication links are established over cable media such as twisted pair or fiber-optic cables, and wireless media such as Wi-Fi.

The information that has to be transferred to other networks is transformed in the form of packets with a logically unique source and destination address. These packets are forwarded to routers from the source CPU for further communication. Routers, the layer 3 device routes the best routing path from source to the destination router.

The packet goes through intermediate nodes which typically network hardware devices such as routers, bridges, gateways, firewalls, or switches and reach the ultimate destination.

I hope you understand what networking is.

For secure and effective networking we have network Engineers to look after the network - plan, install, maintain and troubleshoot them.

To become a Network Engineer you can take CCNA, CCNP, CCIE Routing and Switching training from Network Bulls.
