I have 100 bgp neighbors and one of them is down how to fix it?

1)Check reachbility for the neighbor ip which is showing down.

2)Check nothing is blocking port 179 on the way.

3)Check authentication password if configured.

Apart from this nothing can bring down bgp neighborship.
