Hello Keshav ,

Good Day.

I would like to answer your quarries & thank you for your question.

Based on router behavior, Router breaks the broadcast domain. Suppose a machine connected with Switch and further switch connected with multiple router then if any machine generate a ARP request for any particular prefix which is belongs to any specific router then ARP request reach to switch & switch will broadcast the frame at layer 2. Further ARP request reach to every router connected in domain, At layer 2 every router accept the broadcast frame & the router which belongs to the requested ARP prefix only which can reply. Rest of the router silently listen.

Thanks once again, Have a good weekend ahead!

Regards,

Monty
