Can I use a data-only SIM card that comes with a 4G Router in an extra phone when I'm on the move? Tried to install it on a phone. But I have no internet. I could only access the company's site and search Google. nothing else! why?

I made sure the APN settings are matching to the ones found in the router!

Even dialed a USSD (MMI) code on the phone to prompt the carrier to send an MMS with the automated APN settings. I received a message saying “your phone does not support this setting”

Do you think the company has some restrictions by maybe binding the SIM card to the IMEI of the router!

What kind of restrictions could be implied here and is there a way to get around them?
