Validity: All Cisco Certifications are valid for 3 years (including CCIE). You can attempt for continuing education to renew your certification at any level.
Prerequisites: You can attempt for any Cisco Certification whenever you want. There are no formal prerequisites to any certifications but a certain number of years of experience is advised.
